Side Effect of Excess Weight
One side effect of excess weight is an impairment of hormone insulin's ability to do the job of processing fuel, or fats and sugars properly which known as insulin resistance. Due to this condition of insulin resistance, the body store more fat that it should be but never require body to burn it off. This condition place a big burden on the cardiac.

How Excess Weight come about?
Much of the excess weight come from the bad carbohydrates we eat, especially the highly processed food. Fibers of the high processed like baked goods, bread, snack, soft drinks and other convenient favorites was removed during the industrial process  Taking  too much of these bad carbs contributed to blood chemistry that dangerously high in cholesterol and triglycerides, which will lead to blocked arteries and inflammation of blood vessels
.


How South Beach Diet Work
The principal of South Beach Diet is to permit the intake of good carb and curtail/eliminate intake of bad carb will improve insulin resistance thus resulting in weight begin to decrease and body will begin to metabolizing carbs properly. Eventually by reducing the consumption of bad carbs, craving habit would disappear. Finally, cutting out processed carbs improves blood chemistry, and resulting in lowered triglycerides and cholesterol.

South Beach Diet Plan also allowed lot of healthy mono and polyunsaturated fat - the "good fat". Beside making dishes more tasteful, they can actually reduce the risk of heart attack or stroke. Initially all fats ware presumed dangerous. However in actual fact not all fat have the adverse effect. Fats that are dangerous to our body is saturated fats and trans fats which increase bad cholesterol levels and are associates with hearth attacks and strokes. Trans fats  are the partially hydrogenated oils in our commercial products  like biscuits, cakes and margarines.

Body of research states that unsaturated, non-trans fats are actually good for us.  The Mediterranean oil for example are used abundantly, heart attack and strokes rates are very low. Besides that the monounsaturated fat rapeseed oil has the ability to reduced subsequent heart attacks. Omega-3 polyunsaturated fats from fish oil capsules can decreased sudden death , prevents heart attacks and strokes. Finally, studies also proves that several forms of nuts that are rich in mono and polyunsaturated fats help prevent heart attacks and strokes. So by including the right fats in your South Beach Diet meal plan makes food taste good, palatable and most important point it improves our health.

There are 3 Phase in South Beach Diet. Each phase includes specific meal plan and recipes. Phase 1,  last for 14 strictest days. for the next two weeks you won't be having any bread potatoes, rice and baked food. No fruit, no sweets, cake, biscuits, ice-cream, no beer  and alcohol either. During the period you'll eat normal-size helpings of meat, chicken, fish and turkey. Beside that you 'll take in plenty of vegetables, eggs, cheese, nut and have you're  salad with real olive oil as dressing. The physical craving  will virtually disappear during the first week. At the end of the session you'' lose weight somewhere between 8 to 13 pounds. Most of the weight come off your mid-section.

Ending of 14 days practice in phase 1 will mark the beginning of South Beach Diet Phase 2. You will reintroduce some of those banished food in phase 1. You will continue to lose weight during phase 2. Once you hit your target, you will switch to an even more liberal version of the program to maintain you ideal weight that last the rest of your life in Phase 3.
